Salvatore Ferragamo
Salvatore Ferragamo is the grandson of the esteemed Italian footwear designer and is currently expanding the Ferragamo family brand portfolio into the wine industry with
Il Borro winery and luxury boutique hotel located in the Tuscan countryside. The estate is part of the portfolio of the family's luxury holdings, including the fashion and accessories business, four hotels in Florence, and a yacht-building company.
Ferragamo’s other passion is polo. He learned to play at a young age while attending Millfield School in England. Ferragamo is a highly regarded player and has played in various tournaments throughout Europe, and particularly at his hometown polo club in Florence and at beach polo tournaments on the Italian coast. His personal polo highlights include playing on Tim Gannon’s team against Prince Charles and Prince Harry in the Outback Polo match at Tidworth. Another favorite was an exciting night game at Wellington with Adolfo Cambiaso, Tommy Lee Jones and his wife Dawn Laurel, and his dear friend John Walsh.
Christian (Magoo) Laprida, Jr.
Christian (Magoo) Laprida, Jr. is the son of former 10 goal player Christian Laprida. At 26 years of age and 9 goals, he is at the forefront of a new generation of elite players contending to win the most important prizes in the sport. A dynamic, attacking player who is becoming more composed by the month, he has reached the finals of both the US Open and British Open during the last three years. After winning the Camara de diputados, he made his debut in the Argentine Open for Pilara in November of 2011. He is poised to achieve great success at the highest level over the next few seasons.
Nick Manifold
Nick Manifold, a native of Australia, has served as the manager for Peter Brant's 'White Birch' for over 20 years. White Birch is one of the world's most recognized teams. Manifold has won the US Open title and the US Gold Cup an unprecedented eight times.
Manifold has become an integral player and figure in White Birch's success, playing in that team in numerous US Opens and high goal tournaments from Bridgehampton to Palm Beach.
Manifold’s close partnership with Peter Brant has produced the breeding of many well known polo ponies in the US. Nick and White Birch teammate Mariano Aguerre have had tremendous results in the breeding of numerous champion polo ponies that compete each year in the Argentine Open and other parts of the world. He is one of the most respected horsemen and riders in the sport.
Lucas Monteverde
Lucas Monteverde grew up in a polo family in Veinte Cinco de Mayo, Argentina. In recent years, this small town has become synonymous with producing world class players in addition to Lucas Monteverde, such as Lucas Criado and Mariano Aguerre. It was with teammate Mariano Aguerre that Monteverde achieved his greatest success of winning the most important tournament in the world four times; the Argentine Open in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2009. In 2007 he scored the finals' overtime goal and promoted to 10 goals.
He has also achieved success internationally. In 2005 he reached the US Open finals and won the British Open in fantastic style by replacing the best player in the world, Adolfo Cambiaso, who was injured, in the championship match for Dubai. Still very much in his prime, he won the Queens Cup for Talandracas in June of 2011. He is universally considered one of the most powerful and industrious players in the world.

John Walsh
John Walsh’s work needs no introduction, but it may be news to some that he is a keen and avid polo player. Walsh, an American player, took up the sport later in life, much to his regret. He has found racing around the field at high speeds much to his liking, particularly when it is with his 17-year-old son Hayden (one of America's brightest young players).
Walsh has thrown himself into the sport with the typical energy and enthusiasm that has made him so well known in other fields. Respected for his courageous play, he has withstood numerous injuries and continues his quest to become a respected teammate and horseman.
Walsh competes seasonally in Florida and New York, and has also played in Argentina, India, Morocco and China.
